Making judgment based on evaluating/investigating evidence and coming to a conclusion. A computer program would do the best job, right?
Humans are badly flawed. Unless/until they can become dispassionate/aloof/emotionless they will always make subjective choices. If a computer program can beat a human at chess why not have a computer program decide the fate of others?
