It is the establishment GOP who are upset. They didn't want Trump anyway....they want Jeb. And thought they could just make Trump look like he could get nothing done....so as no reelection. They had better get in line or they will not have a reelection.
Remember that President Trump was born and raised and established his real estate business in NYC, where political ideology is virtually non-existent and takes a back seat behind making deals and getting things done. While there are few powerful Republicans from New York, they're never extreme right-wingers. He probably has more in common and gets along better with a liberal senator and fellow New Yorker such as Chuck Schumer than he does with many of the Republicans in Congress.
