"Curiosity killed the cat. Satisfaction brought it back". If true then being curious kills you. If you weren't satisfied you stay dead?

I'm curious about lotsa things 24/7 and I'm not always satisfied. Yet here I am anyway. Another "saying" that is bullsh**! Why are there so many of those? Things people say that make no sense at all? Are we that bereft of things to say that are substantive and meaningful? Why?
