You brought back a distinct memory. I will share. It was about 1975? when this came out? I am going from memory. I was in Court Reporting school, I think and was still with my boyfriend, Bob.
He liked a lot of great music. This was a band he bought the record of just that week and we played it. I thought it was nauseating. I thought it was so plastic and pretentious, the words and the songs were so boring.
I was into lyrics and very arresting and different sounds at least. These guys left me cold. I had already been exposed to the best and this was just milktoast to me.
I saw them live more than once and don't remember any of it.
But then again I was stoned to the tits. I do like that guitar riff for one second or so. It makes you remember the song, for sure.
Now this is a very remote stab from the early 70's. Uriah Heep. They preceeded YES and remind me of them in a way.
That was early and horrid and then? Then they got good.
