Do Europeans live significantly greener lives than Americans? They ride bikes and use public transportation more often than we do. Why?
When I see travel program set in foreign lands I always see a lot more people riding bikes. Good exercise. No pollution. Less expensive to operate. Why don't Americans do the same?
Americans generally have more children. And it is not feasible to transport a family on a bicycle. Many also commute farther for their jobs than a bicycle would be practical for usage.
