Showed me that Kemmel is not informed on the topic.
Poor/middle class children in this country are covered by the CHIP program (Children's Health Insurance Program) (If they do not have private insurance)

My children have this, we have had for free (zero premium), for $27.00 and for $95 per month.

I think it's interesting that those who are die-hard Trump supporters who don't think the government should be interfering in health care have no compunction applying for and accepting Medicaid coverage for themselves or their children.  What happened to "personal responsibility?"

T'is indeed a puzzlement  Spunky. Right now you have a Bernie Sanders Single Payer proposal....the Affordable Health Care act in the middle...and the Cassidy/Graham abomination of repeal and replace. Aye yi yi! Thank you for your reply! :)

I'm guessing that those who are in favor of the latest iteration of the health care bill don't realize that it's the red states that will suffer, too.

I have said many times, I have no problem with having a safety net programs for lower income people as long as there is a work requirement.  Which there is in my state.

So, if someone is elderly or a child or physically/mentally challenged and cannot work, they should just be forgotten?

Elderly people have medicare unless they never worked their whole life.  Children don't have to work for CHIP but the family has to, in the states where I'm familiar, meet some eligibility requirements.  The whiners act like there was ever a time in this country when poor people had no way to get medical help which is not true.  All the government did was make everything more expensive and complicated.  It was not necessary for the American people, but it was necessary as part of tearing the country down.  Too bad everyone can't see that. I don't recall calling you names and I would appreciate it if you refrained from doing it to me.  I know it may seem odd to you, but not everyone shares your point of view.

As Thriftymaid said elderly and disabled have Medicare and children have CHIPS (my children have CHIPS we pay a monthly premium of $95). Nothing wrong with a work requirement those who are able bodied. (Elderly and children are not in that group)

So true Spunky. The die-hard Trump supporters cry about handouts and are the first ones to have their hand out when they need help.

They are going to soon find out just how much they are negatively impacted if tax reform is passed.  I have a suspicion many of them are on Medicaid and if that gets cut, it will be difficult for them.

And I won't feel sorry for the die-hards, but it will affect others as well.

I feel the same way.  Too bad everyone has to suffer for the stupidity of the few.
