You'll have to add over the weekend you and your cowboy went to your best friend's party. She was got a little tipsy and you found her stroking more than his guitar. While you were leaving you accidentally ran over your dog. You were so devastated by the whole affair, you decided to drive to the quarry to bury him. On the lonely road to the quarry, your truck broke down. With you dead dog in your arms, you decided to try and hitch hike back home. Only to be picked up by the one and only sheriff in town who proceeded to ask if you had been drinking and what had happened to poor Buck. Your dog. You went into the whole sad scenario about the Cindy Lous's party and Annabelle and Bubba and the guitar and the whiskey and the back room and then leaving the party with a few too many beers in your belly and running over Buck and then your truck breaking down about a mile back. He said he was sorry to hear about the affair and Buck but he was going to have to take you to jail until you sobered up and was going to site you with animal abuse and drunk driving. You went to jail with the sheriff and laid down next Buck who was now starting to smell a little ripe. This made you throw up. You saw the sun was starting to come up and you asked the sheriff for a piece of paper and pen. A glass of water would be nice too. The sheriff obliged and you had your glass of water and wrote down this song. It was Monday. And I quote: "I dread your arrival and welcome your departure."

Or... it could mean Mondays are the beginning. Maybe you inspire a new and fresh outlook ahead. Mondays can be a day to set weekly goals and feel positive about new chances and changes that you can make happen on that day and through out that week. Mondays are also good days to get organized and think positively. Then again, they could be referring to the fact they played too hard over the weekend and have a headache. I've met some Mondays with 2 aspirin and vitamin B, too.
