I ran a golf driving range for six years. I loved it, met lots of great people, got some pro lessons, lots of physical stuff to help me stay in shape. The owner gave me $10 an hour plus a tank of gas every two weeks as I lived quite away from it. I wish he hadn't sold the place.
When I was 18 and living in San Francisco, I had a job as a ticket taker at the Golden Gate Bridge. It paid 2.75 an hour, kind of average for those days, but still minimum wage. I loved it. There were so many different types of people from all over the country that drove over that bridge. :)
