Melania mimics da prez. Ivana Trump said she was basically the "first wife, first lady" and Melania is furious. Why?

I think Ivana meant she was the first lady Trump married not the current FIRST LADY.  She isn't stupid or ignorant. But Melania took it as such. Geez another Trump looking for reasons to be irate. Great! :(

Ivana IS TRUMP'S FIRST WIFE. I think she was being facetious with the FIRST LADY thing although Ivana was the FIRST LADY Trump married. I think it was innocent. Melania made it into something ridiculous just as da prez always does just so she could Trump it up! Geez. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday Spunky! :)

Ivana WAS Trump's first wife! Fer cryin' out loud nothing is ever going to change that.  Melania is not as smart as I gave her credit for apparently. I never gave Trump any credit at all so there is nothing disappointing about his being so dense/obtuse. I fully expected it.  I expected more from Melania.  My bad!  Thank you for your reply Lulu'sMom! :) This post was edited by RosieG at October 11, 2017 9:50 AM MDT

Meliania really made a fool out of herself when she lashed back.
She would have been better off if she had just kept her mouth shut.

((hugs)) EXACTAMUNDO! But she seems to be just like her hubby. Instead of letting it float on by without comment she calls attention to it and makes a big deal out of it and takes on the cloak of self-righteous grievance. Nothing like making a mountain out of an anthill. Thank you for your reply Lulu'sMom and Happy Thursday. I think those folks could use a little better sense of humour. They seem so stolid serious somber sober about everything that doesn't matter and nothing that does. Go figger!   :( I'm gonna ask that question.

I think the aggravation is more over the tell-all book Ivana wrote than the "first lady" comment. And the media is blowing it up. In her book, she talks about  Donald as a parent....I think that is actually the rub.

The First Lady comment was obviously a joke. She says she would not want it, she does not like the Washington life.

As Melania's press release mentions the book. And that the comment was to get attention for the book. And you should take it for what it is a comment from an ex.

Personally I think Melania should have ignored it. Any tell-all book isn't gonna tell all about the good times ONLY. The bad times will be in there too. That's what tell-all books do. By Melania reacting to it Ivana might well have MANY more folks buy it just to see what's in there. Less is more in this case, more or less. Ignoring something that should be ignored is common sense. Making a big deal out of it? Well that isn't remotely sensible. Melania mimics her husband sadly. Thank you for your reply m2c and Happy Friday to thee! :)
