    I feel the antithesis could be either plain or vanilla. As wonderful makes, you wonder whereas plain or vanilla does the opposite.

    What is wonderful? Something that makes you wonder when u see something. If you see something plain there is no reason for you to wonder. Hence,  it is the perfect antithesis.
