I think mine was pretty boring compared to how people usually describe their experience

Sometimes.  I think it would have made me better able to learn heavier intellectual things like philosophy.  Things I try to do but are too difficult for me.

Something great about college is that we learn about what we like (mostly) and acquire some soft skills. It's a shame that is so expensive...

i'm glad i don't live in the US. I went to a private school and it was expensive for me, but nothing compared with what americans have to pay. it's just ridiculous...

It was challenging. I was chosen as the President of the graduating classes of the entire university.

That sounds like a lot of responsibility! As a president what did you had to do? I am asking because in my country, i don't think we have that position...so i'am curious

I presided over   all meetings pertaining to the projects, commencement exercises,  and other contributions of the graduating classes to our Alma Mater. Likewise, I delegated duties to the representatives of all departments. Furthermore, I acted as the representative of the graduating students to any school activities with the University's officials. I also performed acts required by my position entrusted by the students' body in general and the school board in particular.

I enjoyed it very much...especially the chemistry, physics, math  and astronomy classes. I also found a girlfriend while in grad school.

  • Loved it. Best years of my life. Undergrad was more fun than grad, but I had a great time. Not just because of "parties" or whatever. I also enjoyed the academic side of it, and it's why I'm hoping to become a professor someday.

    Good to hear!
A lot of people say that the experience was great because of the parties. Mine was as a bit boring in that sense, but like you said, I enjoyed the academic side and made great friends.

No parties for me. I was over 40 and had a family to support. I may go back to school...free for over 65. I want to study some more geology.

I like school and I loved college.  I went to a small private university and just loved it....I still have very warm feelings for the institution and am active in the alumni organization and a supporter.  Law school was just hell but I made some wonderful life long friends while there.  That is the only diploma on my wall.....

I still enjoy online, self-paced classes sometimes.  I believe I'm finished with sitting through lectures though.

Making it to graduation was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.  I was supporting myself at the same time.
