Bullets/guns/rifles/other weapons are all innocent victims of bad humans. WHY do bullets/guns/rifles/other weapons attract bad? Too sexy?

Thank you for your opinion m2c. So  everyone who is a gun person is good then? Is that your position? You use yourself as an example and extrapolate you over the entire field of gun folks? You don't think that might be a tiny bit distorted? The mass murderers are not bad people? Your reply makes an untrue assumption. Read it again. 

There are no absolutes. I did not make a statement using absolute terms.

I think weapons with bullets are used by cowards. The really brave folks fight mano a mano and face the opponent up close and person. Either with fists or knives or axes. Though I suppose you could throw a knife pretty far and an axe too. Also I think bows and arrows tipped with poison are for cowards. Since I am not a gun person I don't know what expertise it takes to hit a target. I do know that little kids who get their hands on loaded guns kill people. How much expertise does THAT take? Yeah, but I'd rather be killed by a bullet than a knife/axe wielding psycho. Anyway, I remember my father always left guns lying around in random spots in the house. One time me and my sister were jumping on my parents bed and a pistol came bouncing out from under the pillow. We were smart enough not to play with it, but I wonder if it could have gone off from the bouncing and hurt one of us. We were scared to go near their room after that. But people should definitely keep their guns locked up, especially if they have children running about.

I agree. There is never any excuse for a child to "accidentally" get hold of a loaded gun. It is never accidental if a loaded gun is left somewhere that a child can get to it. Thank you for your reply Patch! :)

I think mano a mano fighting is what brave folks do. Any weapon that kills at a distance is what cowards use. I'm not a gun person so I have no idea what level of expertise it takes to hit a target. But little kids who get hold of loaded guns do kill people and I'm pretty sure they aren't experts at anything. Folks who operate drones from thousands of miles away in the safety of their "office" and kill people do not impress me. They put nothing on the line. I know It's a job and they do it. Lol that's what happens when you run out of ammo, hand to hand combat. Fortunately we're not allowed to walk around with firearms legally in England so I sympathize with your dilemma. I think the longer range of combat whatever weapon is used is just a casualty or self preservation thing, its all a nasty and complicated fact of human history fuelled more and more buy the invention of TV and graphic video games in my opinion

I totally and completely agree with you Strange. I wonder if there are any studies that would tell us how graphic video games that enthrall so many kids affect them? I mean aren't the most popular ones all about killing and the more kills you get the higher the score? I am not personally familiar with any of them but I'm betting none of them are about saving lives and doing good. The fact that folks get obsessed with them is scary. Even the police in England are not allowed to carry guns, right? Smart folks the Brits. In America guns are worshipped as I'm sure you are aware. Those of us who don't worship guns and don't even own any are considered by the gun folks to be their enemies. SIGH. Thank you for your reply Strange.
