Republican/Democrat? Naw. I propose a namechange. From Republican to RePESSIMIST and from Democrat to DemOPTIMIST. Isn't that more descriptive of what is after watching both Conventions? How not?

 No one likes the truth because it can leave a bad taste in one's mouth. The truth can be difficult to accept regardless of who the messenger happens to be. The alternative was to accept a fresh, new paint job on rotten wood. With one idea  you're only fooling yourself. I think that I'd rather have cold, hard and brutal truth than to fiddle while Rome burns.  But as I've said, most folks had rather be told that everything's coming up roses and have their ears tickled, than hear truth.
