I know they have for me.  But I always figured it was because I was adult.  LOL

Seriously, I think holidays are a lot different now than what I remember.  I know when we had guests, the TV wasn't on.  No one was on an Iphone or a laptop.  Somehow we weren't bored either.

I miss those times, especially this time of the year.

Everything we perceive is in our heads, our imaginations and our will to like or not like.

Meaning, if you have a sh*tty Xmas, it is your sh*tty thinking that made it so.

Not at my household. We are starting a new tradition this year. My late husband used to be the Thanksgiving Day chief, since he is no longer here to do the honors, even though I cant cook.  I am taking over. (poor poor guests) lol

We have gained a Family Tradition. Im so happy about that.

They've certainly lost their luster for me.  When we were kids, my entire family sat down to dinner for Thanksgiving and Christmas (and other holidays, too) together.  Mom did all the cooking and a great cook she was.  Now, all of my sisters are married with children of their own, some are in different states, and there is another set of relatives to be considered.  I can't recall the last time my entire family was together for one holiday.

Most of my family is gone.  Christmas is very hard for me.  I do have a new grandson that I will look forward to.  But for the most part, I doing get excited on the holidays.
