Kate McClure ran out of gas on a dark night on a New Jersey highway. She was walking to find a gas station when a nearby homeless man named "Johnny" told her to get back into the car, lock the doors and he would do it for her. He spent his last $20 on the gas. She could not repay him at the time. BUT she set  up a GoFundMePage planning to collect $10,000 in donations to give  him. So far it is in excess of $300,000! He cast his $20 upon the waters and that's what came back to him. I warned you the story had a happy ending. :)

I thought so too m2c. I just couldn't even imagine anyone in that situation giving his last means of buying food to buy gas for a stranger! Anyway the gal and her boyfriend kept going back to where he was and giving him money from time to time and she really wanted to do something more for him to show her appreciation.   "Johnny" couldn't possibly have had any ulterior motive. He just did it out of the kindness of his heart. What we need are more stories like that to cheer us up, not bring us down. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday! :) ((hugs)) Just because I felt like it! :)

I think so too franc. I had to share that s tory because it is so extraordinary in this day and age for someone to go out of his/her way to help a complete stranger like that. I wish I could report on more such stories. It makes me happy writing about it and thinking about it. Thank you for your reply. A kind act is never wasted and sometimes it can lead to such wondrous results! :)
