From what I’ve seen, anything that generates a wider discussion is an improvement. But I agree with your assertion, there are so many other worthy topics.

Im not sure. I do know that Rosie questions get a lot more responses than a lot of the questions she asks. ;+

  • I guess I do understand why some of her questions get on people's nerves.
Especially the political stuff because she seems to follow the news pretty closely and she has a lot of strong opinions.
I just noticed that people on this site tend to want to gang up on her when I don't think that it's necessary.
Some feel that she is taking over the site by asking too many questions.
    She is only one person.
You guys have the power to take the site back if you all just ask interesting questions about topics that you want to discuss.
I don't think that she should be silenced and I don't think the answer is for everyone who doesn't agree with her to leave either.
I just think people here need to worry less about her and put more effort into making their own voices heard.
    It's just how I feel,
    Thanks.

Having only been on Ask.com, I was Very Nervous coming to AnswerMug.  I was never and still am not a great social network sort of Merlin.  I don't know the in's or out's or the "lingo."  Still, to this day, I don't know how to work with all the great additives answerMug has to offer.  I am glad I stuck it through and not quit after Ask.com.  The people I have met and friendships I have established are true and everlasting. That includes you, Rosie :)
With that all being said,  I have to say, Rosie almost scared me away and has sense become a dear friend.   At first, she scared me somethin' fierce.   When I had finally found the strength to come forth and put my two-cents into the game,  I said something about the slang, "Wrapping your head around it."  Not knowing that was the "IN" thing to say, I replied to her comment with, "I've never understood that visual." Or, I just don't get what you are saying about wrapping your head around something.
Whatever the case may have been, she scared the shi*t out of me because I meant no harm.  I was at a new site and it was my first attempt to try and fit in.  I seriously did not get the, "wrapping around the head," thing.
I'm NOT the victim. I am simply saying, I was so nervous I wrote to JA.  I didn't even know who JA was!... I just figured she was a nice lady with an eye on things.  She must know something:).  After soothing words and a little encouragement, the rest is history. I am as happy as a duck in a pond with staying here and choosing answerMug as my only site.

I can Happily and Truthfully say, "Rosie, thank you for sharing your friendship with me." This post was edited by Merlin at December 13, 2017 11:43 AM MST
