  • There is a time and place for everything.   There's a point that being "nice" for the sake of being "nice" is just being fake.

"It's all in the eye of the beholder." And of course the correct usage of the word according to the dictionary.
Bad manners would have been giving her a little "love pat."  Good manners show, "I'm not looking, but thinking..."
Two thumbs up for the bald guy!!

  • Personally I like some manners in most situations.
I think it shows that you respect people if you say "Please" and "Thank you" or "Sorry" if you bump into them or whatever.
I like to be treated like I matter so I try to treat others the same.
    Thanks. : )

Minor edit here carbon.. To answer your question directly, yes. ;) :)
Being raised by "Mother Superior Manners," I have found, much to my dismay, her teachings have paid off.

One manner many people seem to skip isn't the one that tells when to pick up which fork. (hint: Always work from the outside in. The plate is the center point.  All those extra forks are for the teasers before your entree')
The manner  I am speaking of is the one you cannot see but others do.  Treat one another with respect. Don't try to be the center of attention.  If you are, be grateful to the people who are honoring you.  Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
If you don't care about how others treat you and you don't feel like you belong, you might want to think about how you treat yourself. Being nice and smiling doesn't take that much but it is priceless and manners will flow through you.  Watch and learn. This post was edited by Merlin at December 13, 2017 1:15 PM MST
