I've had goose liver pate. I think it's called Pate de foie gras? (sp?) I'm a big fan of pate as I am of chopped chicken liver as well which is a pate too I guess. I had a friend who was Jewish who made the most delicious chopped chicken liver ever!! Years ago I lived near LAX in Westchester, California and there was a restaurant there famed for its preparation of Duck. I dined there once with a classy workmate who loved the duck there. As I recall you could have it served with orange sauce or peppercorn sauce and there was a third sauce too but I don't remember what it was. Anyway that peppercorn sauce was so delicious. The name of the restaurant was T.J. Peppercorn's. I don't know if it is still there but my friend told me their duck was the best she had ever eaten. She was very sophisticated and well-traveled. Thank you for your reply Gypsyking and Happy Wednesday m'dear! :)

I like pate a lot too. Love it on toast. I like duck, but it has to be well done for me. It can be quite greasy if it isn’t crispy I find. Hope you have a good day too Rosie, and congratulations on getting your own corner :)
Here's the backstory on that Gypsyking. I was driving the Answermug reclassifiers crazy. They didn't know where to put my questions because they could fit in a dozen places. I used to have a problem trying to figure out where they belonged. I mean if I asked a question involving Trump and beautiful chocolate cake and golf and two scoops of ice cream do I put it in politics or food or sports? So Just Asking, the site owner/brains wrote and asked if I'd mind being a category into which I could put all the questions! MIND? Of course I don't mind. I didn't want to be a problem and I had no clue that I was. So now I'm in a place where anything goes and no one has to spend any time on me. I thought the solution was BRILLIANT! Thanks for noticing and I appreciate that you sought me out Gypsyking! ((hugs))
