Truth is an obstacle to evildoers so they badmouth it/insult it/sabotage it. Just like vampires come out in the night because the light will destroy them so too does Truth destroy evil. SIGH. I guess it has always been like that only once upon a tine people used to value truth. Now they deny it/ignore it/undermine it. Lies are politically expedient and service those with evil intentions. :(
