Most. When I first started coming home from kindergarten having picked up a few childish jokes, I was quickly and forcefully informed that what's funny once isn't funny twice. Somehow it soon seemed much safer not to risk telling jokes.
If I do joke it's rare, dry, a one-off, and I need to know the listener and his or her sense of humour very well. When I hit the target accurately and hear long, loud, sincere laughter, it is one of the most precious and delightful experiences I can have.
I LOVE to laugh Hartfire. How can you feel bad or sad or angry or hate anyone/anything when your body is rollicking about due to something that struck you as being funny? You can't. Laughter is the best medicine t'is said. I think that is true for both the recipient and the generator thereof. I am by nature a very serious person and when I'm off on a tangent that may be jolly and frolicsome my default is always SERIOUS. When people are teasing or joking sometimes I don't have a clue. SIGH. I can usually ruin a punch line too so I'm not the best teller of jokes. But sometimes a well-placed word is all I need to start giggling. Sometimes I enjoy being the bearer of such word(s) and I, too, love to hear laughter that I caused. In my time I have laughed so hard and long at something I've gotten a tummy ache! Thank you for your thoughtful reply ! :)
