    One needs strings pulled----

One is programmed to act independently---

Seems like programmed to act independently is a bit of an oxymoron, but I might have a hope there of becoming independent.

A puppet has no hope of being able to move independently of his strings.

Once a robot is programmed it performs independently does it not? Now if it goes haywire then it needs repair but otherwise there is no need for human intervention to make it operate. When maintenance and repair is required then humans show up. So what is oxymoronic about that exactly tom?   A puppet just sits there helplessly until outside forces act upon it. A robot performs its programmed duties efficiently expeditiously repeatedly. How many production lines include robotic "workers"?  Thank you for your reply tom.
