Is someone whose sole goal is to satisfy all physical/emotional appetites profound, superficial, or profoundly superficial?

There is no desire to satisfy the intellectual because it simply does not exist in such people. They "want" and get want and get want and get want and get. There is no time to analyze or cogitate or opine. All focus is on want and get want and get and the wanting only grows larger. It is one way to live a life. Satisfyiig one's appetites.  Is it admirable or deplorable?
