Do strippers expect respect? Whether male or female naked bumps and grinds for money are worthy of respect because?

People sometimes or maybe often set themselves up for being disrespected and then moan and groan about it. Why?

Why not, they provide something people are willing to pay for.

Clearly that is exactly precisely and emphatically what they do. So do those folks who are in porn movies. People are also willing to pay for hits on those they want "taken out". Do hit men deserve respect for giving people what they are willing to pay for JakobA?  A murderer is worthy of respect because his/her customer is willing to pay him to murder someone? I dunno. It's a very big stretch. Thank you for your reply. This post was edited by RosieG at January 9, 2018 7:53 AM MST

Everybody wants respect and some for all the wrong reasons. The thing is that some of those same people don't understand how the whole concept works. Take gang bangers and other criminals for instance. This post was edited by Zack at January 9, 2018 9:35 AM MST

Don't know because don't know any but would everyone wants to be respected - if not for what they do then for who they are.  I was only ever at a strip club once and was back when I was 18 in Arizona.  There was a girl only a few years older than me probably who was just an amazing dancer and I was very impressed so I respected her for what she could do as far as that.  Honestly though have no understanding of why anyone wants to see - let alone pay money to see - anyone take off their clothing. But guess many people do so there are openings for strippers.  I am a well-paid corporate employee and many people hate corporations so may hate me as well.  Or whatever.  We earn our livings in what manner we are able to and many of us go with what is there and don't have the luxury of being able to pick and choose.  I went with where I was wanted and where I was able to do well.  Which does not mean I might not have wanted to do something else all these years.

But I always try to treat people with respect because I think why not?  Makes for better and smoother and more effective social interaction so is a "win - win".  Now some people might think OK if you want to respect me you must do this or this or must believe tis or that or the other.  But in respecting people I decide how I am going to respect them.  The word "respect" by the way originally connoted fear and many people the only way they can get respect is to make people fear them.  Which I think is too bad because respect, the way we think of it today, cannot be commanded.
