Here's the thing B. I have read that especially in Africa our troops are working together with locals to FIGHT TERRORISM...ISIS specifically. Now if someone called America a "SH**HOLE COUNTRY" and Americans were in THEIR COUNTRY helping them out I'd pull them out immediately. If leaders in Africa and Haiti and El Salvador referred to the United States of America as "SH**HOLE" would you be even-keeled about it or would you be irate, insulted, incensed? If you thought you were friends with someone and that person called you a "SH**HOLE" or your country a "SH**HOLE COUNTRY" would the friendship suffer or would you be nonchalant and pay no attention? I dunno. Different folks are affected by different things clearly. I shall always think of dreggy donjohn now as "SH**HOLE" dreggy donjohn. That word "SH**HOLE" is one of which I had never heard. It does not exist in the Webster's Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary of the English Language. So dreggy doofusdonjohn made it up. It is surely not complimentary. I think A**holes live in SH**HOLE countries so when you use such a word to describe an entire country you also describe the people there. Enough of that. I said what I had to say B. Thank you for your informative comment. It doesn't address the point of my outrage but that's OK. I know your patience only goes so far and no farther.I make up words all the time. Futurely is one of them. Not insulting or demeaning or harmful to anyone. The dreggy doofus donjohn has a proclivity for using disgusting language. He thinks like a thug which is why he talks like one. SIGH. :(

The difference is that they are not here helping us. Were they, then yes, I would expect a possible pullout.
People around the world say derogatory things about both our country and us all the time. Often right on your questions...and you agree with them.
Countries are not "friends". They are allied for various reasons at various times, and allies can and do become foes (again, various reasons and times)...and the dance continues. Trump is not diplomatic. You, and many, both here and around the world, are appalled by that. Others are not. Diplomacy is quite often nothing more than lying in a polite manner...but lying nonetheless. Some people prefer being lied to politely, others do not.
