"Shirtless Russian President Vladmir Putin plunges into icy waters to cleanse his soul". That's all it takes? Ever cleanse yours?

Per the article in Newsweek Magazine  the plunge was taken in Lake Seliger in the Nilo-Stolobenskaya Monastery in Russia. It is a yearly custom of Orthodox Christians who celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany which occurs usually 12 days after Christmas. It commemorates/celebrates the 3 Kings/3 Wisemen. Any of you ever go from a nice hot Sauna into snow? Some folks do that too. I'm not sure what the benefit is. Maybe surviving it?  Anyway if doing that can cleanse the soul truly and really wouldn't that be superiorly grand?

If everything bad was cleansed from his soul, I'm not sure we would have noticed him when he climbed out---not much left to see.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Funnee hunnee. You know you are absolutely right! I did not consider the ultimate consequences of that but you did. All that awful terrible horrible stuff oozing out would be in the water which would certainly pollute it.  The Putin keeps trying to prove his masculinity by using such devices. The nakeder he can get the more he likes it apparently. Riding shirtless on a horse. There is definitely a joke in their somewhere. It  seems to me if you are confident you don't need to keep proving it to others.  Wonder when the very overweight donjohn will copycat and ride shirtless on a horse? That is a sight that might be revolting but I'd look anyway. Thank you for your reply tom!  :) This post was edited by RosieG at January 20, 2018 2:57 AM MST
