Me too. I like to work in orderly surroundings. I don't like disorder or chaos or messes. Thank you for your reply hartfire! :)

  • Oh. I should correct what I said.

I'm actually a very messy person.

I clean up messes like spills or broken glass, the results of tiredness or distraction. I clean up dirty dishes or the cat's dead trophies.

I clean up my mistakes and errors of judgement as fast as I can. I  think it's especially important to resolve conflicts and not let them simmer.

But when it comes to projects, my papers are all around me, or sewing, or embroidery, or fixing old things.

And the mess stays till the project is complete.

    Or until visitors are coming,

and then I rush like crazy to put it all away.

Some folks can only work in a disorderly chaotic mess. Others cannot possibly do a thing until order is restored. Both can achieve the goal hartfire. It is simply taking different  paths to the same place. You get in some cars and you are in a very messy environment. You get in other cars are they pristine and clean and neat. I prefer the latter but the former works for many folks. Their homes reflect the same thing. I think you do whatever works for you and one way isn't any better than the other. Thank you for your reply! :)
