Globalism doesn't swallow up cultures and homogenize them at all. It isn't an EITHER/OR proposition. Why do Nationalists think it is?

Nationalists think they will be swallowed up by other cultures and lose their identifies if they don't keep PURE. That's hogwash baloney crapola. You can embrace all cultures without losing yours. The world is a mighty big place and everyone has something to contribute to it. Every culture. All the people. Nationalists are very narrow in their views and fear being engulfed and so they assert their right to shut out everyone but those like them and think they are doing themselves and their "culture" a great service. SIGH. They will never be convinced they are wrong. They cling tightly to their beliefs and shut out everything/everyone. Hitler was very nationalistic. Every country involved in genocide always has the most noble motive. To keep the culture intact. To remain PURE. They convince themselves that their very survival depends are killing off "the other". And it has not served them well. It will not serve America well. It is a great sadness.
