Why don't EXPERTS always agree? Some say water isn't wet. It is a description of our experience of it. Others say it's wet. Which is it?

Those who says it's wet talk about the number of molecules being necessary to effect it...six being the magic number. I'm not a scientist so I leave it  to those who are to figure it out. Is it important to know what wet is? Why?

  • Experts have never agreed, past or present. Practically everything in common usage today, had its share of detractors insisting that it was impossible. That has been true in every field of human endeavor. It seems, however, that it's one thing to be honestly wrong and another to be openly defiant. The fluidity of water is what makes it an essential element in sustaining life. Arid, parched and dry is a condition. Moist, damp and wet is another. One could argue with his/her senses forever. Next we'll be arguing about hot and cold and whether it involves temperature or just a state of mind.
