She would have taken over for her boss in the Justice Department when he is fired. He is now in the eye of the storm because right now he is the only one with the authority to fire Mueller which he will never do so he will probably not survive the ire of the donjohn prez. Whatever replacement the donjohn appoints will have as his first duty firing Mueller. We all know that. What we don't know is when that happens what Congress will do. Just roll over as usual and let it all happen or will that be the line the donjohn prez dare not cross because when he does his tenure will blow up in his face?
