One of the few TV stations you have left?

I haven't heard about any US TV stations going dark in a long while. Why do you say that you only have a few TV stations left?

Salt, it's not that.   I have COX cable.  They are going Digital and I am not paying for it.  Forget it.  I don't watch TV that often.  So, I have a few channels left that they have not converted over to digital.  Soon, I will have none.

Long story.  But no stations are going dark.  My wallet is not going to go dark either.  I am not paying for Television.  I am to busy to watch it anyway and it usually sucks.

Cardamom is a foundational spice in most curry mixes.

The cook on TV was making some fish and added curry and mentioned he thought curry was some spice that grew from a tree.  Until he said that, I never realized it was not either.

I think curry can be great in the right dishes and I like it hot.

And that accounts for the color.  Tumeric is supposed to be great for the body.

I'm thinking of making something with it now.  I love Asian spices.

  • There is actually a leaf ... here it's called a curry leaf ... not to be confused with the spice mix ... interesting fact ... I heard that curry spice mix was invented by the British .. in the days of the British Raj ... when they left India and went home so they could enjoy curries

There is no such thing as a curry in India. It is a corruption of the word khari, which I think is a type of cooking pot. Most of what we know as Indian food was made to appeal to British tastes, and we certainly had curry houses before fish and chip shops!
