Do you only research the things said by "the opposition" so you can take them down or ALSO investigate/verify what your party asserts?

Do you do your own research for EVERYTHING and your own thinking and conclusion-reaching or do you so trust your own political party you take everything they tell you as the god's truth without ever substantiating/verifying/researching what they tell you? Why?
