Since the 1996 National Firearm Buyback Program took over in Australia there hasn't been one gun-related massacre. AMAZING?

From 1979-1996 there were 13 gun-related massacres/slaughter in Australia. The government instituted a gun buyback program and 660,959 firearms were turned in to the government and WERE ALL DESTROYED! There was another gun buyback program in 2003. Since the 1996 buyback program began there have been NO MASS SHOOTINGS IN AUSTRALIA. I'd say that is PROOF that fewer guns result in fewer deaths wouldn't you? People won't change. They cannot be trusted with guns. The Aussies agreed and complied and the result isn't magical it's logical. Fewer guns result in fewer death. The psychological obsessive fixation Americans have with guns is inexplicable other than that it is filling some lack/need/void in their lives. Australians are much smarter than gun-fixated Americans. The proof of that is in the pudding so to speak. Somewhere along the line Americans began valuing  guns more than they do lives. When massacres occur they go out and buy more guns. To celebrate deaths? Sad state of the union isn't it?
