Is the travel path of the bullet that richochets predictable or un. How do you protect against unpredictable? Is the donjohn beyond control?

OH I am sure it is accurate after the fact.  Meaning after the bullet has traveled a particular path and landed, the forensic squad can determine based on the bullet retrival and the shape it is in and where it landed, based on that and many other factors, the forensic lab can determine where the shot was initiated and what path necessarily followed.

But before?   You have to be insanely good as a marksman to determine something that sure.    You cannot take a shot and KNOW how the wind is blowing, who may hit your arm, if you should shake, if someone else will run into the path of the shot.  

So, let's not arm more people and make them even have to deal with such choices.
