    I think he is the epitome of a slick oily slithering snake oil salesmen. Some people are begging to  be scammed/conned/tricked. They make it very easy for opportunists. Others watch and wonder what the he** is going on?.  How many people KNEW that doofus don would be a disaster? How many (17 I think) opponents/combatants  vied for the Republican nomination and called him out repeatedly? In the end the biggest liar/bully won.  Whose fault is THAT? The Republican spineless jellyfish. We the people (millions of us) saw it coming. I disagree that he planned anything. I think he was surprised as he** that he won despite having the entire country of Russia manipulating everything. SIGH. Npw ot

    Sharonna is right.  He banked on us being the slow ones.  He saw how many people actually voted him in.  He knew he could con an awful lot of people.

    Early on Russia was the doofus don's "mentor". He KNEW what they were doing. Even so I don't think he thought he could win. When he did he was unprepared/shocked/scared I think. He was the biggest liar/bully among the other Republican candidates and the gullibles liked his style and voted for him. I think Hillary called them the "deplorables". Whatever. Thank you for your reply PeaPod. Wonder what crap he is gonna generate today? :(
