Because doofy lucy is terrified that the truth will be discovered (much of it is already) and released to the public and will bring him down. If he had nothing to fear he would not be on the hunt taking out anyone he thinks can harm him by telling the truth. To say his only focus now is on attacking/destroying everyone he can is an understatement. He is fearful and frightened and terrified and horrified and can think of nothing else but himself, his enormous history of misdeeds, criminal acts, illegal involvements and even treason. Even when all truth is discovered and he is booted his base will believe he is innocent. Because if they don't continue saying that they will have to admit they were wrong and we all know they will never do that. :(
