If you insist upon staying true to your beliefs regardless of where the truth leads you don't you deserve to be tricked/conned/scammed?

Well regardless of what you deserve it doesn't mean that you WON"T be tricked or conned.  Or that people won't try to trick and con you.  And also don't forget that some people insist upon staying so  true to their beliefs regardless of where the truth leads that they take a gun and start blowing people away.  So is also a matter of what beliefs, and what truths.
