The only reason to "act guilty" if you are innocent is because you ARE guilty. What other reason could there possibly be?

    Well ... according to many of those "true crime" shows on TV ... some innocent people "act guilty" to protect someone they believe is guilty.

    Of course, if you "act guilty" on purpose ... then you are guilty of a crime.  At the least, interfering with an investigation.

    I've seen those stories. The parent admits to the crime he/thinks the child committed and vice-versa. But I wonder how often that happens in real life? Or the husband thinks the wife did and he confesses. It makes for great human interests stories to be sure. Thank you for your reply Walt and you know I'm gonna ask a question about it1 :)

    I was thinking more of ones that they don't confess ... but they know they're the main suspect, and think (friend/family) did it - but they don't give the police that lead.

    Again m'dear I wonder how often that happens in real life? It's a common story line. I've seen it a dozen times and you probably have too. Thank you for your clarification.  Wonder what  the stock market will do today? It dove 724 points yesterday. Will it once again take a deep nose dive? We shall find out. Markets open in 7 minutes!  :(
