Very interesting. Sad too. The NRA was formed in 1871 to teach marksmanship to the NY National Guard for riot control. Why the change?

They became a lapdog for gun manufacturers and bully thugs to cowardly politicians and spokesmouths for gun-obsessed terrified people to whom more guns is always the answer to every question.  How did they go so low? How did they fall so far and become so corrupt?

    I asked him:  He said the simplest answer he could give is that factions on the Political Right found scaring gun owners into believing, "TEH STOOPID EBIL LIBRULZ IZ KUMMIN TO GIT YER GUNZ AND ROUND Y'ALL UP IN THEM THAR FEMA CAMPS!" was a path to profit and political power. Practices which reliably produce money and/or votes tend to be replicated.

    No worries sweetie. No one I've ever met is like Old School. He is unique among men..in a very excellent way. And you can tell him I said so. I'm just glad he exists! SIGH. Why are people so needy  and lack self-esteem that they rely on others to justify their existence? Just like those ads showing beautiful women. You too can be like them. Just buy this product guaranteed to be effective! So much bullsh**! Please thank Old School and wish him a Happy Sunday! :) I shoullda guessed. Everything always leads back to money. :(

  • We're hoping that the NRA will gain in strength, numbers,influence and political power over time. There has to be an end to the attack on legal gun owners(whose biggest mistake has been to obey the law) and a move to disarm thugs, criminals, terrorists, illegals and drug dealers. Until the latter receive the required attention from politicians and law enforcement on every level, you're not going to make any change in the status quo.

    Wrong.  The NRA is not some old timey buddy of yours any longer. They OWN you and the laws that govern gun ownership and the trauma they have foisted on the American public in the name of FREEDOM?  Is insufferable.

    If you want gun control take the NRA and dismantle it and reorganize an institution that is civil and sane and not greedy and misleading on all things to do with guns.

    It is like what the tobacco industry did to your lungs, this industry is pumping lies and need into your brain.  They are making you addicts for a product that you have no business even caring a whit about.

    Not a whit.  If you didn't have a gun in your life, tell me about how miserable your life would then be. GIVE IT A REST.


    When they start talking about taking your CAR?  Your home?  Then you can squawk about freedoms.
