US Army veteran Miguel Perez served two tours of duty in Afghanistan. He has been deported to Mexcio. WHY you ask?

It was due to a felony drug conviction. He developed PTSD as a result of his service to this country. Now I am NOT condoning a felony drug conviction. But don't we owe him SOMETHING better than that for his putting his life on the line for this country TWICE? We would not deport an American citizen who did exactly the same thing. Is that the way a civilized country should treat a veteran? If we do then we are not civilized. I wonder.  Were we ever civilized or is that just another lie among so many that Americans tell themselves?

We would deport a citizen but there is no country to deport them.
Would you rather we sent him to prison?
