"Their' does not apply to the children. "Their" applies to the parents JakobA. Would you like to answer the question again so it makes sense? Or did you understand the question and just choose to respond in this non-responsive way?
I was aware of the duality, but chose the irony of willfully reading the lieteral meaning of the question over trying to explain that the question contain a incorrect premise: "Gun people teach their kids to be afraid and that guns are the answer". I see no real reason to make that assumption.
I am not afraid and do not teach my children to be afraid. My children were taught to respect guns, who to safely use them, and that they were not to touch without an adult.
Guns are for fun...recreation. Target shooting etc.
