Old Testament 39 books. New Testament 27 . The first 5 books called the Pentateuch are attributed to Moses. The Old Test ament was written in Biblical Hebrew(Classical) and Biblical Aramaic and Greek. The New Testament was written in Greek (50-100 AD) because that was the language of scholarship at the time it was written. The first translation of the Hebrew portions were in Greek. What are the odds that every word in every book came from GOD and that none of the over 40 authors spun it or skewed it or enhanced it or colored it to reflect their views? Religion was used as a political weapon by the ancient "religious" folks and still is today. Acceptance by some as "the word of GOD" written over centuries by many people seems a bit naive to believe. Do you?
