The subject matter was about the adverse effects on the environment because of the indiscriminate use of pesticides. That it was killing birds and other living things and polluting the foods we eat, the soil, the air we breathe. I'm sure the pesticide makers wanted to shut her up and deny and lie to protect their bottom line. Money always trumps everything. Even life itself. More's the pity.
