When a TRUTH is inconvenient some folks lie/deny. Others stay quiet/still, their silence signifying fear. What do you do?

The truth is always inconvenient when it undermines/sabotages what you want to do. Ignoring it doesn't change a thing. Neither does lying about it. Which is the best weapon against truth? A lie, a deny, an ignore?
