Do we CHOOSE our truths and CHOOSE what we think/believe/feel are lies on our own or is it our "group" that chooses it for us and in order to belong we must also believe as the group believes? An independent thinker is never welcome if the group doesn't agree with his/her ideas. To belong you must submit/submerge/subdue all independent thought. Isn't that too big a price to pay just to "belong"?
