Which politician was the bravest and which the most cowardly vis a vis any physical confrontation? One who served in the military?

I expect John McCain, JFK, John Kerry, Tammy Duckworth? Surely if you sit on your a** in D.C. and finagle a way to get out of serving your country you are a COWARD physically, mentally, emotionally and assuredly spiritually. If you wanted to join but were rejected that doesn't make you a coward. Avoiding military service to your country by making up physical ailments? Not something someone of sterling character would do.

    Bravest: George Washington.
I can't think of a cowardly pol that was in the military. This post was edited by Element 99 at April 28, 2018 2:20 AM MDT

    I don't know about that.

I mean, at that time, it was an unwritten rule that you didn't purposefully target officers.

And he chose to use military troops to disperse a peaceful (and unarmed) gathering of veterans.
    Pretty cowardly act.

Thank you for your reply Ele. Why was Washington the bravest? Was he ever captured and tortured and refused to go home until all his men were released?  I understand that is what John McCain did. :)
