If we replaced our military with robots just think of the lives we'd save everywhere on land, sea, or in the air. Is that day near?

We already use drones. We already use robots on production lines to build cars and in the operating room for surgery. Why not use robots as pilots or on the ground as foot soldiers fighting battles mano a mano or on the sea? Non-rustable metal of course. Then it would be like playing a game of chess. You'd have winners and losers but no loss of life. A thought.
