We can quote chapter and verse about political corruption and bad actors with which we are inundated daily but who has heard of Gladys Aylward? I hadn't until I saw the movie "The Inn of the 6th Happiness". While some liberties were taken with her story the basics of it were 100% true. She died in 1970. I was born in 1937. I had no clue that such a woman existed then and would not have known about her without seeing the movie. Now why is it that our interests are consumed by ugly and mean and cruel and betrayal and deception and scandal but very little if anything about all the good that very good people are doing everywhere? Whose fault is that? We the people for ignoring anything that doesn't sizzle? SIGH.
