Fortunately, it takes no more that 2 or 3 times reading answers or comments on this or other sites before I get a pretty good read on what people know and don't know.
After that, I usually just close my eyes briefly and take a deep breath. And closing my eyes and inhaling are two things that my body does 24/7 anyway, so the additional effort to do so is minimal.
