Going along to get along and not make waves is safer than speaking up about what you think when it is unpopular. How exciting is silence?

Not sure what popularity has to do with it.  But I don't see what is wrong with being good and dependable and following orders and getting along.  Life is about a lot more than just excitement.  If all we are out to do is just wake waves then we must expect that others will find us disagreeable.  And if everyone just made waves what you would have is total chaos and nothing would get done at all.  Besides how many want to be a pain-in-the-ass all the time?
