How many Israelis have the Palestinians killed/maimed/injured? Anyone know? Or is all the killing being done by one?

The killing has been on both sides for decades. Arabs there vote for their own gov and leaders....the voted a terrorist group into power  Hamas. Hamas has in its charter that Israel is not to be allowed to exist. How do you deal with someone who wants you dead and off the map? 
Hamas is terrorists....terrorist get that name by murdering.
